Shawl work...

Alright, I admit it. I feel left out. Everyone around me is getting their Coldain Prayer Shawls and though I feel as thuogh the effort can't be worth the reward -- well, I've gotta try it LOL. Lion's already around 50 in jc and he's a top-notch baker for one of the swanky restaurants in Kelethin, so I figure what the heck. Anyway, I was hoping to hear from some of you how you got your shawls done. I want to try to do this as cheapy as possible as I have 141 platinum on me right now haha. (I'll have to do a bit of farming, but that's okay). Keep in mind, I can work to get some of the stuff for tailoring I need, but if its relatively inexpensive in the bazaar (about 10-20 per component is relatively cheap) I'll just get it that way because my play time is about to get limited. If I need to, I can always sell off some of my old gear for funds (though I'd hate to part with stuff like my ranger's wurmy LOL he's had that thing for so long it has sentimental value now rofl!)

Anyway, thanks for the help in advance and I hope to soon join you all with this epic shawl peice.

PS I'm already just a combine away from my 3rd shawl, I just haven't worked on it in about a year hehe. That's when I figued out it wasn't just baking that you needed to raise ... but all of them!

Unfortunately, I think you will find trades skill items sell at highly inflated prices in the Bazaar. Rich trades skillers, or rich people who are only skilling up for quests are willing to pay a lot.

I agree with Omegga, some of the stuff is pretty pricey. I have some supplies you can have which should help with a bit. I took the cheapest route I think you can take when it comes to the shawl, but you have to keep in mind that this is not an easy quest. It's meant to be tough to get and even some of the drops for the shawl itself is a real pain. The best recommendation I can give on how to level your tradeskills most effectively is to go to www.eqtraders.com and look up stuff there. It has a huge database with a lot of good tips, hints, and information. Good luck on getting your shawl and I look forward to doing your crawl in the future.

p.s.- If I was anybody (and this is what I did) I would get lvl 65 before I did anything. I'd hit 65 before doing AAs, quests, and alts. But that's just my 2cp.
