ok for my sugestion on the play for the Keeper of the Souls..i have talked to a few that have done this sucessful before and had a few ideas for us. now just remeber some of this was done before mana burn/life burn even existed and some before mana burn was nerfed. so plz keep that in mind. this will not be a fun fight and there will be many deaths.

1. we need 3 main tanks MA, SA and back up SA; the MA needs to have no less then 5k hps going into the firght so we need to get a high lvl warrior.
2. 3 wizzards (been done with 2 after mana burn but before the nerf; so we need 3 of them). if you do not have mana burn then the next sugestion is Ice commet and any high end cold based spells.
3. druids more is better the higher is better if you are not lvl 60 and do not have moonfire; frost (lvl 57) is the next big sugestion as well as blizzard (lvl 54).
4. not sure who else out there gets cold based spells but if you do your needed.
5. life burning necros; if you are not 60 and you do not have life burn taps are supose to work on him. remember taps agro mobs so keep them to the min; will explain later.
6. 3 clerics are needed

all those that are not of the ones that will be doing the fight will camp out to an alt and join the channel and wait for us to say it is safe to camp back in. the reason for 3 clerics is 2 are needed ot keep the MA, SA, and back up SA alive till the fight is turned over to the dmg dealers. the 3rd cleric (Alouzin due to epic) will camp out with the rest of them. you will be told before the mob is pulled if you are going to be doing the fight or not.

the puller will bring the keeper of the soul to a safe area where the MA will be waiting the rest of us will be back out of agro range for the time being. the hope is (sorry to the puller) that the puller will receive the DT. if this is the case then the MA will engage the mob on the count of 10 all melee class will then count to 2 and attack there will be NO assit call. the MA should have agtro at that time. at 20secs (about 5 secs after the melees attack) the MA will be DTed and will go down. hopefully the SA has the agro but if not it hapens; at the second the MA goes down another count of 10 will be done the highest lvl druid will then attempt to snare the keeper (he is very hard to snare but it has been done before). when the SA goes down another count of 10 will be done it will be announced and then all the dmg dealers will count to 2 and NUKE; NO NECROS should be doing ANYTHING at this time you arre to be FDed near the fight site; ONLY when the mob is at 20% or lower are you to even consider doing anything if the fight is going bad DO NOT stand up and i mean it DO NOt STAND UP you are there to make sure if a wipe happens that the keeper is gone and the main cleric can log in and rez. we wil have around 20secs to take the keeper out if not done at that time we will most likely wipe

if you are a dmg dealer that is asked to do this fight and you do not know how to kite plz speak up you will be asked to camp out with the others you will be of no use to us you must be rdy to run and nuke and run and nuke. if you get hit you will not make it and draw undo agro.

i for one can do around 3600 dmg with moonfire in 18secs if i do not go down or get DTed i can do more i can cast moonfire 12 times or over 13k dmg in about 90secs.

You need a death touch sacrifice and a puller. Last time when we were setting up and I lost invis he DTed right way. We still need to find out if a necro with Harmshield can pull a DT mob and absorb the DT. I think the DT recycle time is 45 sec and the KoS has 32k hp.
In reference to kiting, idealy the nukers dont want to get agro becuase it means the melees have to chase a ping-pong MoB. Also it means you will likely get the next DT. Also, when kiting, if we have not cleared all 6 splitters before engaging, you dont want to kite out of the safe area and agro one.

Actually i think 30 secs on the DT recycle is correct.

Just a thought, but We shammies get Ice based nukes too! We could give it our best, though we are lower than lvl 58 -60. Some might actually stick, esp if the mob got debuffed by a Enc. Just my 2cp. Laughing out loud

are we going to make sure we camp a cleric before this fight? If we happen to wipe, there is no recovery other than back at Islse 1. We could also FD a rezzing Necro. but I would feel safer if a cleric was camped.

When pulling him, would it work to send a pet to absorb the DT? I know thats not much of a pull though.

yes actually alouzin will be camped out for the fight; because of his click stick.

if shammys can do cold based then yes i would like one to stay up for the fight i would like to see if one of ours can slow him. i have heard shammys helping but they were close to 60 for it.

also i dont know if Ses is coming or not but i would like him to stay in for it as well not to fight but to be an FD look out with our necros.

in reguards to a pet taking the FD well all i can say is he must be pulled and i am almsot sure the DT will go to the puller. if not then a pet can be used but i do not sugest this due to even alouzon's or kyth's very uber pets they do not have the HPs we can get a tank up to. i know this is asking alot of our tanks to know they are going to die but it is necessary. let e revisit how this is going to be done again and tryto clean it up a bit. since Mich is leading the raid i would like to request maybe leading just this fight. or i will discuss it with mich and he can lead it with my imput. i have neer seen him go down before but again this comes from what i have been told.

1. Cleric -2 will be in PoA for the fight (only 1 if we only have 2 for the raid). will stay in PoA for the fight. Alouzin will be camped out on isle 4 before the fight starts. Boad will be running him i belive and he will camp to an alt until the all clear mesage is given.

2. necros and SKs - you will spread out and FD before the mob is pulled only if you are asked will you stand up for any reason other wise keep down. you are there for one main reason to keep look out if we wipe to give the all clear message.

3. shammies i really only want one in zone during the fight to try to slow the mob. i have been told you get a lesser slow that is nonresistable this is the one you should try to use.

4. Enchanters - will camp out before the fight starts to an alt until you receive the all clear message

5. druids - all will be in the zone for the fight if your lvl 54 or higher if not you will camp out to an alt and wait for an all clear. the 3 main spells to use are Blizzard (lvl 54), Frost (lvl 57) and Moonfire (lvl 60).

6. wizzards - all will be in the zone for the fight reguardless of lvl. use the highest lvl cold based spell you have rain spells will be allwed snce the mob will be far enough out not to cause agro from other mobs. if he is near the other mobs (hope to have zoe cleared before the fight takes place); do not use a rain/AoE spell.

7. mages - all will be camped out to an alt for this fight after making all the focus items that have not already been requested from the ones staying in.

8. melee classes - all weill be in zone for the fight. we wil need MA, SA, and back up SA these will be assigned by the raid leader they may change from who was MA and SA for the rest of the raid.

if i missed a class let me know.

before the keeper is pulled the necros and SKs will FD around the area and will NOT get up unless you are tod to. keeper will be at about 20% or less. everyone not doig the fight will camp on and log on an alt and join the raid channel and wait for the all clear message; after they have buffed the ones staying in for the fight.

the puller will go get the keeper and pull him to the MA; all others will be back out of agro range for a short period of time. the puller should receive the DT before he/she has gotton the mob to the MA. MA will NOT tag the keeper till the puller has been DTed or dies before DT happens.

after MA has engaged the keeper and only one cleric will move closer (in healing range of the MA. at 20secs the MA will call assist all melee classes will then run over and engage the mob; reguardless if the MA has agro or not. a few seconds later the MA wll recive the DT and go down (assuming he has agro at that time) the group leader of the MAs group (or what ever group the person DT is in) need to yeall that the %t has gone down by a DT; do not let us know if anyone else has died due to melee dmg.

at this time all wil move into range of the keeper at the exact instance the DTed person goes down anothe count will be done to 20secs. at that time i will attempt to snare the keeper and the shammy will attempt to slow him; only try once or twice at the most or you will gain to much agro. a few seconds later the next person will recive a DT. the gtroup leader of who ever dies from a DT need to announce it.

the second the person goes down from DT all druids, wizzards, and the shammy will begin to nuke the keeper for everything we have. if we have a mana buring wizzard this is the time to use it. do as much dmg as possible in the 30seconds we are given.

the hope is that he will be dead before the next DT cycle. if not do NOT panic who ever is left standing keep hitting and nuking the keeper.

at 20% or less and ONLY if the fight is going well will Alouzon stand up and cast life burn on the keeper. at 10% and the fight going well will all except one stand up from FD and engage the keeper. life tap should work well on him so use it fast and often.

this should work ONLY if everyone does exactly what they are supsoe to do. there will be NO talking in any channel during this fight. the only people that should talk are the ones that are calling assits; clerics announcing heals, and group leaders saying %T had been DTed.

if anyone has any comments or questins plz let post them.

if you are a melee and have agro plz use your taunt button keep clicking it non stop.

Summoning Reinfocement Strategy

As I said, we did this last raid and perfected it. There are several ways do this. The easiest way is to send one person out (usually a wizard) who is grouped with the necromancer. They then port up with the group. There must be a cleric or paladin on ilse one as well as a cleric destination ilse. The cleric with the highest rez does the exp rez and the other cleric or paladin does a no exp rez. The group (except the cleric) on ilse 1 can either duel or just attack the keymaster (quads for 2k). The ilse 1 cleric rezes, but the group does not loot. The necro summons and the other cleric then rezes.
If the ilse one cleric is coming to the destination ilse, you need 2 rezers on ilse one or the cleric needs to be reported up. If the cleric came from the destination ilse, he can be killed there prior to leaveing and then rezed back to that corpse.

Alternative to sending out a group member: Last raid, some to the reimforcements ported up without waiting for us to send out a group member. We successfully targeted and grouped someone on ilse 1 by sending down an Eye of Zomm. Bind sight hopping is supposed to work also.

Wizzard, Cleric, Necromancer...This means a maximum of 3 reinforcements may be brought up. This step can be repeated however, but takes a long time.

Also this will only be the first group. The wizard can disband afterward and bring up 5 at a time. We just have to make sure one person stay grouped with the necro. Also a note on dueling. It can agro the mobs, so it is not a good idea for the cleric to be the dueler.

MAJOR BUG/NERF!

both of the enchanters we invited were lvl 60, I bet lvl 61 now.

Conjure corpse does not work on any corpse that is lvl 61+
this may make a big difference in the way we take on PoA. Including myself cannot be summoned.

right now all dead corpses apear at the zone line in PoP zones after 20 mins so not a big deal if you die there. But it is a big deal in other zones.

If you care coming to PoA, please do not lvl to 61 till after the raid.

well thats nice Sad

we only use conjure if not enough keys or on a wipe. now on the issues of not enough keys well all i can say is 61+ get keys first. on a wipe i really dont know. isle 2 is where we wipe the most often and where the chanters are the most needed all i can suggest if we wipe on isle 2 the chanters will just have to wait till isle 2 is safe for a rez but that idea is not the best one.

That nerf stinks! But has anyone confirmed if that nerf affects corpses in the old world, or could it be just the PoP zones that it happens?

Why do ALL of the Necros and SK's need to be FD? Wouldn't one or two at the most be enough to FD and scout camp in the case of a bad fight? Or would we need to have more FD people down to possibly pull the KoS away from camp? I just ask because SK's can do pretty decent melee damage, and I figure we will need as many damage dealers as possible to pull this off.

As for the MA engaging initially and only having one cleric to heal. Is that doable? I forget how hard the Keeper of Souls hits, but without a CH cycle for the MA I doubt one cleric would be able to keep him alive for 20 secs. Certainly one cleric could not use CH, and mana would dissapear fast if having to chain heal using the Elixir/Remedy/Light heals.

Though I can understand having some camp out before the fight, I would figure it would be only those that would make a CR possible. Almost every other class could contribute to the fight. High level enchanter could Tash. Shaman that can't nuke would make good support healers,k same for sub-54 druids. Mage and Beastlord pets, though not a main tank could at least provide additional damage. So besides the rezzing cleric and maybe a FD class, why not have everyone else present for the fight? I can't fathom why having more around would be a detriment.

Lastly, I don't really expect to hit 56 before the raid. But if I got lucky and did, would you want Masin (or some other 56+ cleric) to camp out before the fight? With a 96% rez, they at least could camp in and rez Alouzin if needed, and then Alouzin would be able to rez the rest with the click stick. With Alouzin up during the fight, his stronger heals might be able to keep an MA or SA alive a bit longer before the DT. Just a thought.

he hit alouzin in the 500s and once for 700+..guys like isaid this is what i was told so i dont know. yeah a SK can be involved in the fight but remember we may be short on the SK/Nerco members and the real plan cannot be determined until we get up there and to isle #4.

and again Alouzin will be the cleric amped out; the ONLY reason for this is not the % rezhe has or his lvl its due to him having his epic if we are wiped he would get us upand running faster then anyone else.

the fact is in reguards to the keeper of the souls if Dia does not go and at least one other we cannot even consider doing him. wizzys are the only way to take him down. the reason for camp outs is to resudce the number on a wipe. if we get enough back up healers (not including me..i will be on dmg duty) then yes they can stay in. i based my sugestion on the info i recived from a few higher lvl guilds that have done this fight many times and very well; this includes the info i received from one of KFs higher lvl warriors; i have had several discussions wiht him about how do do things; he has played MA, SA, back up SA and melee duty for this fight so he has seen it done from start to finish. my post was only a sugestion and will of course be changed upon arrival on isle 4 depending on how many we have and of what class.
