Revised strat for 4/16 MB raid

There are some issues amongst ally guilds and we feel it is in the best intrest of everyone to put this back a few weeks for things to return to normality. Until then RoTP will be doing guild epic raids and backflagging.

In our last attempt at MB, at least one of the spider groups was decimated by MB himself. They were being hit by his procs and getting summoned into MB's room. Falonien spent a lot of time reviewing the video he has of the fight trying to determine why in the heck this could have been happening. While there may have been a bug, we feel that sloppy play was a major contributor to our wipe. I won't even guess if this was just an "off" night or if people went into this overconfident. Anyway, on with the revised strats for MB:

MB Strategy and Placement

Tank Requirements
MA will pull MB to the spot designated as 5 on the map above and corner him so that his back is to the raid force. It is essential that SA / TA be ready to reposition MB in that position with back to raid force if the MA goes down. Due to this requirement, I would like to see Pally's and SK's being used for SA / TA since they can grab aggro quickly if needed and turn him. If we go through all of our "assists", every tank needs to be aware that they must keep MB cornered.

If MB turns out of the corner, expect to die quickly. He was both silencing and summoning healers from all over last time. Do what it takes to keep him there.

Healer / Caster Requirements
Use any extended range Tribute you can stay as far back as possible from MB. If you don't have any tribute points and don't have any extended range gear, ask a mage to summon you some jewelry. Byrin, Caybin, and Felith should all be able to help on this.

Spider Group Placement
First, we are going to move the location of the spider groups to be slightly further from the MB room (see map above). This should cover us for a) it was a bug and for b) we were just really sloppy.

Previously, we have placed in the four corners closest to MB's room. This time we're going to move the groups into the small rooms right next to the corners (see 1, 2, and 4 on the map). Group 3 has the possibility of getting aggro from Tin Soldiers so we will keep them in the SW corner. With this new placement, spider groups will still be in a position to interdict every spider that's headed to the MB room. Every spider passes through the "O" in those rooms so grabbing them will not be a problem.

MB Engagement
Once MB is targetable, MA notifies the raid, pulls him to 5, and corners him. Other than healers, NO ONE casts anything until assist is called. After assist is called, Melee's assist MA, slower slows, and casters start doing their stuff. Casters must stay out of MB's room if possible (you can cast through the walls) or as far back as can.

As soon as MB dies, everyone in MB's room leaves the room as quickly as possible while spider groups continue killing spiders. Our FD puller pulls the NPC out of MB's room to location 6 on the map. Once the NPC is safely out of the room, Raid Leaders calls for spider groups to stop killing spiders - raid force assists as needed to clear spider aggro.

Once all fighting is done, Raid Leader give go ahead to hail the NPC.
