EQPlayers Stinks !

I for one have had it with the EQ Players character service. Not only was it broken for over 3 weeks, but SOE never gave an explanation as to why it broke or when they intended to fix it. For many, I believe it's still not working properly. SOE want's us to pay to see the majority of the data, yet they are unwilling to compensate those of us who were without the service for nearly a month.
I have always maintained that Magelo is a much more user friendly site and also much more accurate. Sometimes the data that shows up in EQ Players is completely inaccurate. I have cancelled all of my EQ Players premium feature subscriptions for these reasons.

I would encourage all of our warriors (and other classes too) to update their Magelo profiles and enter their profiles in EQ Rankings. We also need to register our guild at EQ Rankings(will need an officer to do this please). You can use both sites for free and if you choose, you can purchase a premium Magelo account and get full automatic character sychronization.

If you don't already have them, here are the links to the two sites:

Magelo:

ERQ Rankings:

This isn't just for warriors, I'd like to see everyone using these features. We can get rankings as a guild as well !

Posted 16 Weeks Ago and EQPlayers Still Stinks.

I posted this nearly 16 weeks ago and I wouldn't be bumping it except that certain individuals have seen fit to lock the most recent one, so no one can respond with information now.

This is an ongoing issue with SOE which isn't receiving the attention it deserves. Am I really the only one in KotG who is experiencing problems with EQPlayers? Am I the only one who paid in advance for the premium services and hasn't received them in over 4 months? Am I the only one who thinks that when you pay for a service in advance, you should actually receive that service, and if you don't, should be entitled to an extension of the service or a refund?

Again, here are the links to the posts on the EQ SOE Forums. I would encourage anyone who is having similar problems with their profiles to follow suit with the many others who are lobbying to have this fixed and refunds issued.

Sorry to hear you and so many others are still experiencing problems with eqplayers. Myself, the only problem I have run into thus far is that it is slow at updating my gear/hps/mana but my profile usually straightens out. As of right now ..my hps and mana total are correct but my primary slot and my neck slot are no longer current. I will probably cancel this portion soon ..not sure I wanna waste the dollar anymore. I hope they get things straightened out soon

I've Lost Faith...

I cancelled my premium features as well, unfortunately you pay for the entire year in advance (if you pay your EQ account that way) so when you cancel they stop the service imeediately, but don't refund the balance. If I had known that, I would have waited the entire year and then cancelled. Be careful when you cancel, you may want to coordinate it with your regular EQ account, as they don't give credits.

It's just amazing to me that a third party application like Magelo can do a better job of character profiling than SOE themselves, especially considering SOE has direct access to all of the characters and information.

Even the President of SOE responded to my post indicating that they would have a plan of action for the repairs in a day or so.....that was nearly 6 weeks ago.

To the Station Players community in EverQuest:

We recognize that we have had some thorny issues with Station Players and EverQuest over the past few months, some of which have been challenging to track down and fix. It is apparent that some Station Players subscribers have been affected by these issues, some subscribers have been affected to a lesser extent and some may not have been affected at all. Nonetheless, we recognize and understand the frustration expressed by the community. We expect that, within the next few days or so, we will have addressed and fixed most of these issues.

While all services can be expected to have bugs or glitches from time to time, the persistent nature of the EverQuest Station Players issues over the last few months argues for a refund.

Accordingly, over the next few days, SOE will be issuing each EverQuest player a full refund of EverQuest Station Players charges that he or she has paid since February 14, 2007, up to a maximum of 5 months refund per EverQuest Station Players account. We hope that issuing this refund demonstrates our goodwill to the community, and we apologize for the issues that have arisen and persisted.
