As Meboom pointed out in a post in the Members section concerning how to spend our DKP, I decided to investigate what the current 1HS weapons of choice are for the leading warriors on our server and others. Meboom made a valid observation about our abilities as tanks to hold agro. It seems most of us are really in need of a good secondary 1HS weapon to compliment our epics. while none of us yet have our epic 2.0, I'm sure someday we will. Most of us do have our 1.5, which is great.
From my survey, here are four of the top 1HS weapons ranked by ascending DPS:
Darkblade of the Warlord - (Drops in Time B)

I'm sure there are others out there, these are just those that I saw most often in the profiles I surveyed.
For example, Cember uses the Thunderclap (Drops in MPG Foresight Trial)

This weapon ranks between the BBoB and the Notched Blade and is a very nice one as well. This is one we should consider doing repeatedly as we all need the MPG trials for Anguish access anyway.

where on this list would you say the fleshbiter would rank? i know Toe and I have it already. As far as i understand its also one of the better items to have, and is up there near the DbotW possibly. anyoen know for sure or approximate comparon so i can decide how badly to look into getting something else as well or odds are i'll just hang on to Fb for a while.
I have an Excel spread sheet which ranks all of the 1HS, 1HB weapons by DPS. If you send me a PM with your email address, I can send it to you or anyone who might be interested.
Just for a quick comparison though, the Fleshbiter is 13.60 DPS, DBoW is 13.03, Thunderclap is 16.50, BBoB is 16.26, Epic 1.5 is 12.92 and Epic 2.0 is 19.03.
if your looking for dps, fleshbiter is not the way to go :P Even the dd on the proc gets resisted by anything above wos.
well if your comparing it to the top 3 there it isn't the way to go for aggro either lol. I am a fan though. And will probably use it for tanking for a long time.
Not to sure where to post this, BUT I am currently working on a list of the same effect. I am doing the top 10 types (1hs,2hs,1hb, ect.) usable by sk. I have 1hs almost completed just need to do research as to where they drop. I will do all types and the top 10 of each just give me a couple days to finish it.
