As we are heading into Qvic I forgot that you need a high Smithing skill to make Infused Muramite Metal. ( http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=28421 ) Which as you can see is No Trade once made. I am not sure if the metal is Mq'able. So last night I started working the skill and made it to 92 before calling it a night. I have been following this guide and so far it has worked wonderfully. ( http://www.eqtraders.com/articles/article_page.php?article=g96&menustr=0... ) Somehow I haven't spent any plat making it to 92. Of coarse thats selling everything back once made. Hope this helps ya.

If these are Mq'able and the guild plans on doing that for all please let me know so I can stop doing this.. hehe..

yes, they require smithing, but the trivial i believe is 0

Which makes it a no fail combine.

Generally, they make it tradable, or 0 and no trade for those that do not like to tradeskill.

The final combine is no fail

The final combine is no fail yes... but to make the Muramite Sheet Metal... you need a trivial of 282. Muramite Sheet Metal is tradable and might be able to be purchased in the bazaar... I do not know. Once you have the Murmaite Sheet Metal (purchased/given/smithed) then you can "No Fail" the combine to make your Infused Muramite Metal (no trade)

So unless the guild has a 282 Smithy to make these combines, you'll need a 282 Smithy Skill or hope they are not too expensive in the bazaar.

I see now

The Muramite Sheet metal is tradeable, yes, i have even seen it in the bazaar, but not cheap. but we have a number of good smiths in the guild, i am at 243 currently, and have Blacksmithing Mastery 3(i should succeed 91.5% of the time on items at 282 trivial) i am working on getting up to 300, but i think even at 300 you still have a 5% chance of failure. I will hit 95% chance at 250 skill, which i bet i get to before you get a meldstone(unless you go buy one today).

You can use the calculator to determine your success/fail/skillup odds at http://www.eqtraders.com/calculators/main.php?menustr=130000000000

The best thing to do is make sure your stat necessary(in this case strength) is as maxed out as you can get it. With Dire 2 i am at a 508 str. and have a better chance of a skill up than i do if my str is only 255, but in both cases i am at a 91.5% chance of success according to the calculator.

Also i just ran the calculator at 300 skill, with my trophy maxed out(15%), i can still only get a 95% success rate, so when you need the combine, look me up. I would be glad to help.

I hope this helps.

(Edited because i used the wrong skill in the calculator and the % was wrong)

meldstone

If the meldstone is used should we be saving it from the drops we are getting now so that is available to guildies when they need it for the armor? If we are make sure the looters know. I know I have found some on the guild hall vendor after a GoD raid.

Meldstones Banked

I think Meldstones should be kept in the guild bank for this very reason. Eventually KT will need to be farmed for these. We could always make it a "fun night raid" where we go and cleanout KT 3-4 times.

You are correct

I did not know what they were used for before this post, i will watch for them now. If i get any i will get them to the bank.

There are a couple of us in

There are a couple of us in the guild with a high smithing skill. Dratzz can smith trivial around 390. I believe Bam also has a high smithing skill.

The Guild Bank has at least

The Guild Bank has at least 25 Meldstones and we continue to bank them from raids.  After people win armor drops they can request meldstone if they have the required skill or ask for the piece to be made.
