there are mobs in UP called Disturbed Elysian Remains that drop Druid only armor; most of this is a big upgrade to most any tiem in the game. it is metal looking instead of the typical leather. a friend of mine (lvl 55 Druid) had been soloing them for a short time and has a near full set. the armor is not common but not what you would call uncommon. i would like to take a near full group over when he shows me where it is. i really ned some new gear and some AC. i would like to get the leggings, tunic, boots, and crown. with this gear i will increas my ac by about 25 and max my wis at 257 wis. i would like to get a group of 50+ to go with a cleric (cleric will be totally necessary). the problem is the mobs are lvl 53 to 57 so most are going to con white up to most of us. and they hit HARD. i think wiht Mich (pulling and using harmony on the camp), Masin (healing and if needed a rez), Alouzon (fearing and using his nice pet), me (nuking and backup healing), and 2 others we could do this eary. according to my friend these mobs do not cast or was it they did but nothign that with low MR you could not resist. i doubth that they cast cuz he killed them old druid way of snare, root, and dot. they do have a lot of hps. this could be really good exp for some of us; may even be dark blue at lvl 60.

Elysian Leggings
AC: +16 Sta: +15 Wis: +7 Int: +10 Cold Resist: +10 HP: +50

Elysian Tunic
AC: +24 Str: +15 Sta: +5 Wis: +15 Magic Resist: +8 Fire Resist: +8 Cold Resist: +8 Poison Resist: +8 Disease Resist: +8 HP: +15 Mana: +75

Elysian Armplates
AC: +12 Str: +5 Sta: +6 Wis: +4 HP: +25 Mana: +25

Elysian Boots
AC: +13 Sta: +5 Agi: +10 Wis: +4 Disease Resist: +10 HP: +15 Mana: +15

Elysian Crown
AC: +12 Str: +5 Wis: +8 Fire Resist: +10 Cold Resist: +5

Elysian Gloves
AC: +10 Str: +6 Dex: +10 Wis: +3 Magic Resist: +5 Mana: +25

Elysian Bracelet
AC: +8 Dex: +7 Wis: +3 Magic Resist: +5

if all goes well i would like to take in groups every now and then with anyof our druids that are lvl 50+ to help them get some nice gear. most people forget about us druids and that fact that we need good gear too. many times in a fight it is the druid keeping the thanks alive and doing a great deal of the damage to the mobs. nfortunally the only drops these guys have is the armor and it is of course no drop. but again they are supose to be really nice exp; and you get to see a new zone too.

post here if you would like to come along and help out.

Sounds good to me. I've been wanting to try a high level zone in Luclin other than ME.

In looking at the loot drops it seems there are items for just about everyone. with much of it being planer level or better. Click here to view the loot.

aye some very nice stuff there; but humm those named mobs are way beyond our ability. from what i have heard/read we could take Inny better then most of them Sad.

From the spell listing you posted, I'm guessing they can drop any of the Luclin Level 52/54 Spells. I'm still missing Falcon Eye Smiling .

it appears that every class has armor that drops here and the mobs are around lvl 53 to 57. weird thing is i can only find tha the druid armor is limited by race. appears that plate class, chain class, and silk class each get a set that is for all that are in that class. and most mobs are like i said lvl 53 to 57.

Please forgive my butting in. The name on the post may be umfamliar, most of you would know me as the young druid Vertania, who is a member of KoTG.

Some RL friends of mine who play on RZ have made a science of camping these remains. The special thing about them as opposed to the rest of the mobs in this zone is that the DERs do not summon. Almost everything else in this zone does. Because of this, the DERs are thought to be the "easy" mobs here. And my freinds have only recently begun to try some of the other mobs here, namely the ones who drop caster silk type gear. I guess for those you need a strong tank who is backed up by an equally good healer. Fortunately KoTg seems to have both in ready supply. *grin*

Good look in Umbral Plains folks, I only wish I could come up and frolic too. But I have alot more growing to do before then.

Vert is totally correct about this. these guys do NOT summon; and i have also read that th other mobs do summon. one good note is if one of our casters do get agro and hopefully it will be one that is a bit use to kitting they woull not be able to stand still they are going to have to run around to avoid dying. i have alrady sugessted to alouzon to avoid trying to snare them; i honestly dont remeber how much these guys hit for but it is ALOT i think high 100's if not low 200's but most of the hits i tok were in the back and maybe its just me but when i get hit in the back i take more damage. still think with a cleric(s) we can tank these guys.

my only fear right now is having either mich or omegga pulling since some of these mobs may con as hight as red to them hamrony may not work and they may not be able to single pull. most we should get is 2 i think so with 2 groups that should not bue a big deal.

to our clerics i suggest CH due to the healing agro.

guys we are going to have to be VERY orgnized to do this well; i sugest putting eihter Kiya or myself in charge of the "raid" due to both of us have beenthere. hehe i vote of Kiya Smiling.

oh fyi they do dorop luclin gems and some of them are worth a bit. i think we shold give the gems to the guild for guild funds or to the clerics to pay for dots. however i do plan to bring 2 stacks of dots for our clerics. also i am going to do my very best to hit lvl 59 by them so our casters can receive PotC for mana regen otherwise our down time is going to be bad. we al had c3 the night we went and i was OOM alot of the time.

be aware last time i went in here (at level 54 or 53 exploring) i zoned in and a assasin saw right through my invis. He promptly dispelled it and all my buffs and proceeded to kick my can back out of the zone (had 2hps left when i zoned back into ME). Umbral Plains i see as a Planes raid at this point for guild. Since ill be starting work again shortly and since im east coast (and most of u guys are not) weekday raids will probably be a no no until at least Xmas vacation. So if u guys want to schedule an Umbral Plains raid please do so on a Saturday or a Friday night.

jsut an FYI to anyone. i will be in UP prob for the next 2 weeks or more. right now me, Drath, and when able Jilbert are doing the skellys.

leanred tonight that melee is not the way to go; they hit too hard, easy to anger, and hard to tuant off. for once EQ did something that made sence made a mob that drops druid gear perfect for a druid to solo kite.

i prob wont have much time to help out with spur of the moment stuff but if a raid is planned and i am needed i will be there Smiling..well if RL allows

you guys see any assassins in the area you were pulling. I know they drop some uber rogue/ranger/bard equipment. I was hoping t get a small force up there like last time and take out some of the assassins as well. I know the assasins from what i have read summon so kiting might not me to much of an option so we would need melee/buffers/and healers. Just a thought maybe sometime during the week we can get a high level grp for an exp group there and of course all the nice loot.

We should definitely do this zone again. The more we become familiar with the zone, the better we will get at quickly mobilizing single groups for hunting.

well i am only 2 items short of my full set of armor now Smiling just need the arms and the crwon. after a rude wizzy decided to try to sale his tunic drop the druids of the zone refused ot give him even 1 copper for it and we drumed him out of the zone Smiling. just an FYI this is the guy that use to get everyone in ME killed by trying to AoE 10+ mobs at one time. he did also almsot get alot of us killed during his AoEing.

about 7mobs later the tunic dropped Smiling. me and drath may hand out there longer then we had planed for exp the fact is i am getting about 1/10 of a blue per kill in lvl 59with the new patch lvling stuff. with very little effort i got a full blue today.

Oh btw Mich you voiced an intreast in coming over to join us sometime. well Drath had an old friend with us today lvl 47 ranger and all he did was shoot arrows at the mob while rooted. fact is i dint think he would be much help but turned out mobs went down much faster with him around. all i got to say is before you come over get a few stacks of arrows summoned.
