So many have target issues when rezzing on a raid. I began this post as a means to remind the rezzers that you can use the raid window to target corpses when the owners are not in the zone. It can be a big help when there is a problem getting someone targetted or you cannot find a corpse at all.

I do not know how it got off on the tangents it did, but remember you can use the mouse to target a corpse, use your group window for members of your group when they are not in zone or use ther raid window to target hard to find or target corpses.

The main objective is to get the raid back and up as quickly as is possible. If these "tricks" help we all gain something.

Raid Rezzing

Rezzing is usually surrounded by a lot of frustration. If mass rezzes are necessary, something terrible has happened to the raid force and a lot of people have been sent to their bind point, have lost experience, are without food, water, and gear, and are unhappy in general.

Perhaps you have been in the midst of a horrendous bloodbath but have managed to avoid the mobsâ€â„¢ attentions long enough to get camped safely. Now you have come back to an empty battlefield scattered with corpses. Some folks have valiantly met their deaths face to face with the enemy, right in the middle of the battlefield. Other corpses of those who met their tragic fate scrambling desperately for safety are flung far and wide. It is your job to restore these noble individuals to their former living state as quickly as possible.

You open your raid window, scroll through all the groups to find a specific person in the list, click their name, and find out whether they are in range or not. If they are, you rez them, then itâ€â„¢s on to the next specific person you wish to rez. But this person, in their mad dash for sanctuary, is far from the mass grave containing the bulk of the corpses. You hunt down their corpse, bring it back to the main area, rez, then start the process over again.

How do you decide who should be rezzed first and who should spend the extra few minutes shivering hungry, thirsty, and naked wherever they last chose to bind? I asked this very question. This is the answer I received: Rez bards first. Their mana regen songs will help all subsequent newly rezzed to regain their magical powers more quickly. Next, restore other members of the cleric class, who can help return life to other rotting husks. Then, the tanks should be raised in case of an ambush. After the tanks have been raised from the dead, those with buffing ability should be rezzed. Then the dps classes should be restored to their bodies.

I personally find it much quicker to repackage those closest to me, working outward, in a circular pattern, with little time spared for searching for specific corpses. I realize that not all will agree with this, but it will be irrelevant as soon as the next expansion introduces out of combat regeneration. With the new expansion, within two minutes of a total wipe, all members of the raiding party will have full health, mana, and endurance.

Only change I'd make in your order is to rez a tank first or second. Bard is a good first rez choice as he can mez or kite. Third should defenatly be another rezer and all the rezers after that.

I loved your language in that post Viv!!! That was poetic even, hehehe!

Scattered bodies and rotting husks - If I'm alive, I'll drag them to you from the deepest hellpits from right underneath evil itself if need be...
As a rogue, I do not need anything but my legs going to bring your carcasses to you for emballage and cosmetic surgery so they look good and proper again.
We have learned that in places like Plane of Air spider island, rogues have been really good to have around on an early stage after a wipe.
Do not hesitate to rez poor lil dead me if that slaughterfield is to spread out and that big bloody mess that used to be your living shield is out of range. Cool I can bring the mighty warrior back to your hideout so you can resurrect him to yet again shield you from the devil unless there are nasty SONY-hulks around that spies even us rogues.

As far as the rest of this topic, it does make sense to me with bards and tanks ASAP to build up a protection for the remaining recovery work.

I still wish those slacking gnomes of Norrath would invent a portable rezgadgetmachine that could be carried by rogues and make it so we could rez at least one single person per hour or something like that.
There are so many times I have wished that after eluding hellfire and brimstone and I'm the only one standing on a blooded field among the buzzards and flies flocking, I wish I could do that and speed thing up. Puzzled

I always rez another cleric first or shaman/druid with call and shoot them a tell that it may not be safe if i think i might get killed before i can finish rezzing. Then I rez a tank to keep the mobs off me while i finish my job(s). Then I start with the closest one and start rezzing. If i can I try to rez at least one of each of the classes you would need for a well balanced group.
