I am lost as i was when i first started the game.So much new stuff to do.I ask these questions for your guys input.

I am 67 should i just concentrait on lvl,s.If so i have always had a hard time getting groups.I dont even know where to go to solo, which i have done most of my time. And some of the newer stuff i cant even touch or they will wipe the floor with me.

What content should i go after as far as armor and weps go.Im half ele geard with some ornate stuff thrown in.DoN i see no rewards for the massive time you have to put in just for faction.GoD i need tipt run for starters. But the armor in GoD is very nice.I have seen some TsS armor very nice.but no idea how to obtain it or where to began.

I want to make my Ranger as tuff as can be and equip him just the same.I wanna go back and take out mobs i thought i would never solo. Its just that there is so much to do and i am lost in it all.I look up to you guys,Omegga,Lakes,Awein,Xreaver, and others i see at raids.I love to raid and miss out on some cause of lvl or keys and flaggs.

Just please if any of you have advice or guide or opinions as to what i should do, please tell me.

Levels

I'm not a ranger and certainly can't attest to the best balance between AA's, levels and equipment, but with the new expansion on our heels and due to arrive in mid November, I think you'll need to focus on levels as a priority. With the new level cap at 80, it's going to make it even harder for you to find groups as people transition from 75 - 80.

Much of the new content TBS, TSS, etc. has some decent armor that can be obtained through faction, missions, tasks and just normal mob drops. Unfortunately, I think the level requirements on most of it might be over 70 though.

The age old argument over AA's and levels can be inserted here, however, I would recommend levels over AA's for you right now.

I don't think that anyone is really looking forward to grinding out more levels, but just as 70-75 was, it will become a priority for most to race from 75-80.

Good Luck in your pursuit!

I agree with Yorag, Levels

I agree with Yorag, Levels going to be very important. There are a few things you can do that can get you closer to folks gear wise. First, get tipt run done. Then you can always try to get a number of folks (flagged) to gimp you into Qvic and get some armor drops. Hit MPG with a group and try to keep up on your spell runes as well (also not bad for xp). Think PoR has some nice one groupable gear, but not sure what the level requirements are.

Also, make any raid possible that you can come too. Earn some DKP and pretty sure some items drop that no one wants now that you can pick up for pretty cheap.

And work on getting your Anguish Sigents, so that when you hit Level 70, you can be gimped in and eventually get to loot a seal which will let you loot in that zone. We going to be playing there for a while---plus, even before you get the seal that will allow you to loot, you will be gaining DKP that will let you bid on bigger and better things.

Levels and stuff

I would defiantely concentrate on just getting levels.  The best thing that Fasz did for me when I returned to the game (in almost identical gear and level as you) was to make me finish up whatever aa I was on and then turn it completely off.  Since that time I have gone from level 66 to level 72 in about 4 weeks.   Use Lesson of the Devoted if you have it.  As soon as you get into a group that you feel the exp is flowing, use it!!!  You basically get it back every day, so if you don't use it you are wasting it. Smiling

DoN -- come to the Tuesday night raids.  You will get a Norrath Keepers token at least once a raid (one night we got 4, you just have to turn them in in between targets).  You will get to indifferent very quickly.  Plus, as cykor stated you will earn DKP, and there are some nice drops also.  If you are looking at DoN to purchase the armor though, you can buy it without being indifferent.  You just go up behing them invis or something like that and make sure you can pay for it.

Gear and raids - Definately as Cykor has stated, going on raids and earning DKP is a very nice bonus, because then you can use it on those items that a lot of others already have, so you can get it pretty cheap.  I wouldn't count on getting anything from anguish for a while though.  I have been on I think 5 anguish raids now and I can't remember any armor drop that went for under 200dkp.  However, the other raids.. Qvic, Inktu, DoN dragons and stuff have all dropped very nice items that usually go for a lot less than Anguish items.

Gear and groups - Vald pit, Steppes, Icefall Glacier (two nice bracers you can get by just looting bear pelts) inside vald itself, Attiki, and some mines I forget the name of that are near mesa.  All of the above places drop pretty nice drops.  Yes, some of them have minimum levels, and a lot more have recommended levels, but so what?  If you keep exp'ing in those areas, you will get your levels quick enough.  (In this reguard levels once again trumps aa, because you can't wear this stuff unless you level up!)

Last but not least.  If all else fails, or even if it doesn't.. DAIN.  There are three dain missions that you can do over and over again.  Each time you will earn about 7% exp in your level.  It doesn't matter your race/class/armor/aa's because you turn into a coldain dwarf, and you use thier stuff. The catch is that you must have a certain amount of people to even do one. (I think its 4)

Hope this helps.

The above statements are a

The above statements are a nice guide to follow..you definately want to lvl, just dont let Fasz see me saying one should lvl instead of doing AAs...lol.   Anywho, feel free to shoot me a tell if I am on...almost always solo in either Relic, Attiki ( if you have TBS ), or Icefall and we can grp some.  You do want to inquire about getting the 2 bracer quests done in Icefall ..extremely easy to get if you can get a group there.  There may even be some toons still interested in doing some DoDh spell missions which have decent gear as rewards

experience

I am thinking that you may often find a guildee or two in the higher end TSS or TBS zones trying to get experience. Either check the guild list when you log on or just head to those zones. I prefer the following zones/missions for experience and armor progression:

Icefall, Valdeholm, SUnderrock, Direwind, Atiiki, Thalassius, and Katta.

Many times I just head that way and look for groups that have an opening that can take me.  Since the TSS and TBS expansions have been out for a while now, many of the drops in those zones are often offered up in /ooc as rotting. But, if you play there enough then you will get them to drop for you anyhow.

The two lines of progressive armor are:

1. TSS - Tenish armor quests from Crescent Reach. Go to Allakhazam and look up Tenish on the mob list and check the quests associated with him.

2.  TBS - Many of the missions in the Katta attached zones give faction and orux which can be eventually applied to buying nice armor from the merchants in Katta.

I too came back to the game following a long leave. On top of that, I created a Drakkin rogue which I have only had for 11 months or so. So, building up exprience/AAs/ armor etc has been a challenge. I will say that I primarily levelled in all the TSS zones. Half my armor is from TSS and half my jewelry is from TBS.

Good Luck to you,
