OK I am in need of Lvls as fast as i can grind em out. I was just curious if anyone knew of any hot zones or special exp that would help me get started out.

There is really only one problem being a rogue... No group - No XP...
Any rogue at all times will need 2 things to get going.

§1 Someone to piss off the mobs so they don't splat the rogue.

§2 Someone to heal the guy that is pissing off the mobs for you.

Rogues can not solo worth duckpoop. They MUST have a group.
The one and only benefit we have is that we are never useless because of the damage we normally do even on mobs that are WAY higher level then us and the sometimes real awkward places people die on and needs to get draged out from.
Unfortunately the rogue uber ability as a scout and mobsniffer is severely underestimated today and people totally forget that we are experts in looking around corners and select targets for a mez, pacify, tag or whatever...

The hotzones as of latest official SOE list are as follows:

Level 20 - Swamp of no hope
Level 25 - The Overthere
Level 30 - Timorous Deep
Level 35 - Emerald Jungle
Level 40 - Dreadlands
Level 45 - City of Mist
Level 50 - Skyfire Mountains
Level 55 - Karnors Castle
Level 60 - Veksar

Personally, I have noticed that Planes of Power are better then some of those. For a level 55-60 I would go to Plane of Valor no doubt.
Wall of Slaughter is always a good place for 55-60 also but people seldom accept you there at that level for some weird reason.
Bastion of Thunder requires Plane of Storms Askir quest access or level 62 to even get there unless you are the only one in group not having access, then you can get gimped in with a full group.
One more zone that is really good in my opinion for 55-60 toons is actually the old snakehouse Temple of Ssraesza. A pity not many groups go there no more because in there you also have the Dusty Soriz Pouch as a rare drop in the basement. That's the thing that summons Shissar Fangs with range 170, damage 11, delay 15... The shissar poison sacks are also nice for a rogue poison recepie that will give you a procing poison DD of 75 for 10 mins per shot (takes up a buffslot tho).

I almost forgot one more place... Undershore!
If you can get a friend or two (that guy that pisses them off and his healer) to go kill the mushrooms that are right at the port in, you will get some good XP here! Not to mention a shot at the rare drop from the named mushroom - Twisted Shank - An evolving dagger that eventually becomes a damage 17, delay 22 piercer with haste 40% and lifetap proc of 125... If you want to see the details on the fully evolved item including stats and such, I have it to show you, just look at my magelo profile in my signature at the bottom of this post, or you can look up Death Maw's Dagger in bazaar when playing...
People sell them for 200k. or 50k for the unevolved version where you have to work it up yourself from the Twisted Shank.

It is kind of sad regarding the lack of group invites that I get. Seems Fare has the same issue from what I gather. I usually only get invites when I happen to be in the area when a group opening comes up.
I usually just hit the center area of GE and solo since the mobs are still light blue at level 70. I am not in a big hurry to level since I will lose my solo spots so just working AA's. Get about 2 ticks of AA xp per kill so that is an AA every couple of hours. Better than nothing I guess.
I enjoy my rogue because it is a nice change being right up at the mob instead of the distance fighting you have with casters. I have mainly played casters since I started EQ 3 years ago.

Yup... I do have that problem with Fare. Is why Faremoni has only managed to get one level and 300 AA's that past real life year while my monk Zhiztakha was created in April or May and is already level 65, 8000 HP fully buffed, 40 AA's and much much easier to get groups with.
Personally, I love monk class. The thrill of pulling with FD and fooling mobs or kite them around while group still killing last pull is exciting. Monk is also excellent offtank and good for soloing with the ability to single out mobs and the defensive monk Aura.
As a monk, I get more action then I ever had with rogue and Faremoni was created in January 19 of 2002.
It took me 3 years to get level 65 on Fare and when they raised to 70, it was another 4 months of LFG.

Rogues are hard to work today, to many classes do same DPS and something in addition to the DPS that benefits group such as Call of the Hero, Evacs, buffs, slows, heals or offtanking/pulling.
Unfortunately, most people think that all the rogue is good for is DPS, so they prefer lots of other classes ahead of us. Sad No one needs a sneaky snoop no more.

It's discouraging, I know... But once you DO get a group, the rogue is real fun to play, especially at level 60 and up with throwing weapons. Every once in a while we get a chance to really shine & glow with assassinations (instant death to mobs) or when people die in that bad spot and the rogue is only one that can retrieve the corpse.
Wish more people thought about how useful it can be in crowded areas to use the Rogue as target radar. No one can sneak around and call assists/pacifies like the rogue. . .
With an active cleric (they have really good pacify), druid (outdoors only tho), chanter or even pally as partner, there are not many places that duo can't singlepull mobs from with a wee bit of patience and coordination.
Rogue selects target/s, call for pacify, the pacifyer assists on rogue and casts their spells from way out of agrorange, then you fling something at the mob you want and voila, with a bit of practice you and your pacifying buddy can pull like a monk.
