You need a pottery skill of about 122 to make these so i sugest goign up to about 130 so you dont fail as often. the final combine is no fail no skil.
best way to get your pottery up..i sugest not to bother firing the tiems but if you want to not pend as much money feel free. you cannot sale if unfaired and if you chose to fire your items it will increase your skil up tiem by nearly 2x.

if you max out large bowls thats all the skill you will ever need
you should get to 148 in about 90mins standign in the thurg bank area (need to get water not sold in bank) and for about 100 to 150p. get a C3 before you head over it will help with skill ups.
I think Twotons went the medium jar - medium bowl route. Took him 200pp with orge (read: sucky) int.
Aye, went med jar, med bowl.......a hair under 200pp and with a max of 89 int.
In other words, could be done cheaper an faster by almost anyone else (including some who are brain dead :-/ )
btw, there is a pottery vendor in PoK very close to pottery wheel that sells all the med bowl and jar items, and a vendor near him that sells water <for those big boned folks like myself who cannot fit into many thurg buildings>
Shadowhaven has a crew of merchants near the pottery wheel and kiln in the short folks area. You can buy everything you need there until you start on poison vials.

if you dont want to bother with (and i never did) the SH faction quest you cannot shop in SH so keep that in mind.
i wiould go PoK or Thurg UNLESS you have the SSH faction
Doh, all this time I thought they just didn't like Necros or DEs.... Now I find out there is a quest.
I did mine in Thurg and I have yet to make a gate potion eventhough that is was I did pottery for. Doesn't make much sence now does it.

i can say with out a doubt Iane NEVER did the faction quest but for some stragne reason is amible in SH and well i was doubious when luclin came out so if you know why plz share i still have not figured it out. only guess is my short tim in FG helped my faction? /shrug
