Hunting cycle best done with a druid, ranger, or bard tracker...
Best pull sites are the entrance to TT gates to Emerald Jungle (EJ)..grp waits here tracker pulls mob, down goes mob, rinse and repeat until you have all the medallion halves you need.

Move to the cave/stream zone in along the zone wall for second pull area. Once again tracker moves out grp waits at the cave / stream
kill, rinse and repeat.

This area is a slow farm but you can work your way through the named cycle for
- the haste item (hangman usually found around the lake)
- the rogue / bard Iskar Illusion mask
these days ghostly robes, meditiative blanket, lasniks staff are pretty weak.

(I only need a tooth from Trakanon to complete the old version)
Old version VP key does not work until you complete the new quest!!!!

New VP key has 2 versions both of which become a soulbound item when used but an augment as well.

In order to get the max'd out version you do the old VP key quest which includes rounding up parts of each medallion representing the major iskar tribes...a few of these are ground spawns but many are long camps....this is still a quest of patience. A couple ground spawns include Swamp of No Hope, Kaesora library...
Each medallion has 3 parts if memory serves with each medallion being completed by Emperor Ganak (the guy doing your Sebilis Key)

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!IMPORTANT NOTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Keep track of your medallion pieces because 3 are combined for each Tribal Medallion...(old school quest NPCs still each incorrect turn-ins as of 4 months ago!! Found out the hard way.
You can avoid this tragic error 1 of 2 ways
1. Cast identify on the medallion piece to learn which tribal medallion piece you have in hand (they all look the same)
2. Keep each quest medallion tribal piece in a separate bag...
Example as you work the Kunzar tribe medallions you put them in the same bag you put your food in, as you do a different tribe put your tribal pieces in your spell components bag (if you organize your junk like this).
I can painfully say after camping a single ghost in Trakanon's Teeth for 40 plus hours and incorrectly turning in the medallion pieces THIS SUCKS!
And of course you lose 2 other medallion pieces both of which you don't have the faintest clue where they came from mob wise LOL!!!

Righty... Gimme that 'old school' key guide because here is what I found about the new key: It REQUIRES the old key :!:
It does not matter if you have the old key on /key or in physical form, either way will work. But you must have it none the less to be able to do the combine for New Veeshans Peak Key.

In other words, if KoTG ever wants to raid V.P - We have no choice but to start camping the old key stuff...

Here's the final steps to convert old key to new key:
Basically, you only do a combine, a super-dragon pops and he has to be killed. Raid only fight... And a HARD one at that from the looks of it...
