Oh Joy...

Another seemingly endless multi-fragmented quest. Didn't they get this out of their system with the Hand & Face Augs. from the last two expansions? These quests that require so many pieces consume so many bank slots. I still have incomplete portions of the Face Aug. which are still consuming about 10-12 slots.
SOE really needs to devise a way to increase our bank storage capacity.

Or you can finish up the quest before you start a new one

The are putting in a NPC

The are putting in a NPC that will give you SoD quest items that you destroy or otherwise loose. It will not work for older expansions at this time.

Fun

This looks like another quest like the one that we are working on that began by doing the group missions with the knuckle joints in Bloodmoon and continues through so many zones in the expansion.
Sony has done a great job of giving us a combination of group and solo events, with separate rewards for both, that we can do or not as we choose to play the game.
Sometimes inventory slots are an issue, but doing these fun events more than makes up for the inconvience of needing to move around the tradeskill items. It definately makes if more fun to level than just staying in one camp and killing hour after hour, day after day. When we are lucky we also get a nice variety of drops so we can work on getting something by killing there awhile longer if we get one of something we need for more than one person.
I look forward to completing these.

Finish Up a Quest Before Starting a New One?

I truly wish it was as easy as that Ozne.
Unless you are lucky enough to be in a static group or fellowship that is working on these quests together, it's nearly impossible to complete any of them. The end result is you have parts for the face aug., parts for the HoS faycite augs., and parts for all the quests prior to the combines. A majority of these tasks require a full group to accomplish, which in and of itself is another issue. Trying to rally a group to help you complete a certain quest is not an easy task either.
Yes these quests can sometimes be fun, but they can also be huge time sinks waiting for certain mobs to spawn or waiting for rare drops to materialize. In these cases you DO have to kill the same mobs over and over for hours.
I enjoy doing quests and tasks, but not when you can't even measure your progress regularly . With so many components and so many parts, I find some of these new quests to be a bit tedious, not unlike the BiC aug.

I agree

Yorag has put my issues into words better then I can. I've been so frustrated lately at actually progressing in anything. I like doing quests but all I seem able to do is grind AAs. Omegga does a great job at posting all the progression and quest information on the boards but it's almost like a tease because aside from a few regular fellowships I can't see anyone actually accomplishing any of it. I've tried posting quest stuff up on the boards and people respond postitively but when it comes down to crunch time no one is interested or capable of doing anything.

Fellowship

When I began the fellowship we had 3 or 4 of us in it and our boxes and/or alts. The start was Caeni, Cqishy and Kilor. We asked different people to join us getting things done, beginning with dinner invitations and the quests in Dreadspire and moving on to Ashengate and new expansions as they came out. Along the way we asked people to join us and some left the guild while others left the game. By trial and error we have come up with a group of us that likes doing all the quests and feels it makes the game more fun.
That said, it only takes 3 to set a campfire so look for one or two people who play the same hours you do. When you have 3 who all are looking for the same game experiences ask around until you find more. They are out there. Remember sometimes our friends leave the guild but still want to join us in groups. Sony made it so a fellowship can be made up of any 9 players on the server, they do not have to be in the same guild. If you have a friend in another guild who is not in a fellowship and you enjoy grouping with them, then put them in your fellowship.
The most important thing is to find people who want to do the same things in the game. As an example, I have find the game alot more fun doing all the quests but other players would rather stay at one location and just kill things. Both styles of play are fine, but if you want a fellowship that is working toward a common goal it is best to have most or all of your members enjoy the same game playing style.
Start small look for one person at a time and have fun. You pay to have fun in whatever way YOU want. NO one way to play the game is wrong unless you train others, steal their kills intentionally, or loot their kills.

Once Open

Well once you open up each level of the Void you can buy slot 3 augs from the merchant there.

http://everquest.allakhazam.com/search.html?q=Quartzite

The minor items are on the merchant in Void B and the Glowing is on the merchant in Void E. These merchants only sell stuff to you for the new currency you earn from doing missions. These merchats also sell spells and Tomes that are not on the normal merchants in the regular zones. Like the Monk level 84 Tome Whorl of Fist is only sold in Void E.

And Here's What You Get.....

Read the post on the SOE forums and decide whether the reward is worth the investment of time:

I updated the list and noted

I updated the list and noted which missions are also required for Void Progression. One other thing to note that while the final reward may not be the greatest, most missions have a 1 in 3 chance of spawning a Loot named with loot that only drops in that instance.
